DIATOMEES (1986)

Diatomees is a concept of industrialized underwater observation tower.

There are 9 subsea observation towers in the world allowing the public to admire "the true seabed." real alternative to public aquariums, the roles are reversed, the fish visiting tourists in their huge aquarium filled with air.

The construction of observation towers were built by using construction techniques that had the major disadvantage of destroying, by the technique used, the areas supposed to be visited.

Diatomees is a perfectly clean and controlled alternative as manufactured in a shipyard, brought to the site and smoothly submerged. With this technique, the observation tower can be moved, brought back to the shipyard for maintenance or modification.

The building cost is also very interesting and perfectly mastered, eliminating the risks of long time working at sea.
